The SICH PRIN project participates at the Sixth Joint BER II
and BESSY II User Meeting
The UNIPI research team attended the Sixth Joint BER II and BESSY II User Meeting that took place at Berlin-Adlershof (Berlin, Germany) from December 3rd to December 5th, 2014.
Aim of the meeting was to discuss future scientific fields and expectations, needs and requirements for cutting edge science with synchrotron radiation. In this framework the work developed at the Synchrotron Source for the analysis of wood, paintings and violin varnishes as part of the SICH PRIN project was presented in the Poster Session. SR micro FTIR imaging at the IRIS beamline were performed at the IRIS beamline thanks to a collaboration with Prof. Dr. Aziz and Ulrich Schade from the Institute for Material Development. The SICH PRIN Project participates to the international conference
“ ON the last top to Horizon 2020”

On 26-27 November 2013, the Region of Tuscany organised the "Marie Curie Actions: on the last lap to Horizon 2020" conference in Florence, Italy. The conference was opened to MCA researchers, alumni, coordinators and whoever interested. The conference was meant at giving an overview on the future MSCA actions, the industry-academia collaboration and include parallel sessions on societal challenges. The SICH PRIN was acknowledged in a presentation by A.LLuveras (part of the Pisa research unit) in the Session D “Cultural Heritage, Social Innovation for an Inclusive, Innovative and Secure Societies, Knowledge Acceleration and ICT”.

Conference & Workshops   

We have the pleasure to announce the first International Workshop "Green Conservation of Cultural Heritage" in Rome, October 27^th-28^th, 2015 National Research Council of Italy (CNR) – P.le Aldo Moro n. 7, 00185 Rome Italy. We are attaching the first call and the form of abstract.
The Workshop, focused on the issue "Sustainable Restoration", is aimed to discuss the following topics:
a) eco-friendly products coming by biotechnologies and nanomaterial sectors;
b) scientific alternative methodologies already available to replace the hazardous products and methods for workers and environment used in traditional restoration treatments;
c) new researches to more sustainable methods that take into account both the working conditions and the easiness to use;
d) training programs, activities or studies on the awareness of restorers on health risks, arising from the use of chemicals during the restoration procedures.

XXV Congresso della Divisione di Chimica Analitica della Società Chimica Italiana
Trieste, 13-17 Settembre 2015

Siamo lieti di annunciare che il XXV Congresso della Divisione di Chimica Analitica della Società Chimica Italiana (SCI) si terrà da domenica 13 a giovedì 17 Settembre 2015 a Trieste, presso l'Università degli Studi.
Il congresso si articolerà in sessioni scientifiche volte a coprire i principali settori della ricerca in ambito chimico analitico.
L’organizzazione del congresso è curata dal gruppo di Chimica Analitica dell’Università degli Studi di Trieste in collaborazione con diversi ricercatori di altre aree scientifiche e con l’importante contributo di docenti di Chimica Analitica degli Atenei di Udine, Venezia (Ca’ Foscari) e Padova.
La scadenza per l'invio degli abstract delle comunicazioni orali e poster (inclusi gli abstract di coloro che intendono partecipare al Concorso per Borse di Studio) è il 31 Maggio 2015. Dopo tale data gli abstract potranno essere considerati solo per la presentazione come poster "last minute".
L'accettazione dei contributi verrà comunicata entro il giorno 17 Luglio 2015.
