We are
pleased to announce the 35th international conference for Dyes
in History and Archaeology (DHA35).
DHA is an annual series of conferences that covers all areas
concerning dyes and organic pigments including their history,
production, application, characterisation and analysis,
properties and identification. The conference aims at attracting
conservators, curators, art historians, craftsmen, artists and
scientists from museums, universities, research institution and
other public or private entities as well as independent scholars.
The conference will take place from 5-8 October, 2016, in the
city of Pisa, Italy. The Chemical Science for the Safeguard
of Cultural Heritage workgroup of the Department of Chemistry
and Industrial Chemistry at the Università di Pisa
(http://www.scich.it/) will be delighted to organize DHA35.
Presentations will take place on Thursday the 6th and Friday
the 7th of October, in the conference room in the Polo Piagge
center (Via Giacomo Matteotti, 3, Pisa), one of the newest
campuses in Pisa. The optional social programme includes a
Welcome reception in one of the museums of the city (Wednesday
the 5th of October) and an excursion to the medieval city of
Prato (Saturday the 8th of October).
